Starting in March, and being completely over by June, there are 7 rounds nicely spread out around the U.S. Sadly, there is virtually no real recognition for the winners of this series. Unlike the old NORBA days, where racers from all over the world would come here to see who’s the best, our national series is now just a bunch of cool local races.

So west coast, east cost, southern, upper midwest, a decent arrangement. Do racers actually travel to all these locations to race though? That would cost a small fortune for anyone without a full factory ride I would think. And even if you won the series, would anyone care?
Blevins won? I’m assuming that’s from doing just a few of the events, but winning them. And how about Alice Hoskins? She should be a household name in the U.S. XC world, but I’ve never heard of her. She’s clearly a talented racer. Jennifer Jackson, Kate Courtney, Blevins…big names.
I bet if the Lifetime Grand Prix hadn’t swept in and took over the offroad racing scene, this series might just have some respect.
Oh well.
