Well, there’s one date that’s undecided for location, but there are a couple of exciting things to note for next year, that’s for sure.

First and foremost, there are now 9 XCO races! That’s quite a jump from 6 the last few years. And once again, the USA gets a chance to see the action in person. While I am seriously bummed to have to cancel my trip t the 2021 race for various reasons, I do look forward to next year. They did the smart thing and combine the Snowshoe race with the Canadian stop in back to back weekends. This is the only logical way to do things at this point. So many racers just blew off the 2021 race. From it’s the last one, it’s a hassle, no need to go, worn out, whatever, it seems coming to the USA doesn’t make sense to many. It’s a shame really, as we are seeing several young racers from our country move up the ladder and get some results. But I get it, no law that says anyone has to go to any race. Very personal decisions are to be made in this regard.

The new stop in Brazil should prove interesting as well. Especially it being the very first race in April. This will force everyone to get in race shape very early. But, seeing a fresh new venue and course will be a great way to kick off what is hopefully the most “normal” season in 3 years.

All in all, I can’t wait.
